Frente Nacional de Pueblos Indígenas – FRENAPI (National Indigenous Peoples' Front), San José, Costa Rica: $15,000 in June 2013 (via sponsor: Servicio Paz y Justicia de Costa Rica) to develop and strengthen capacity and leadership among the indigenous peoples of Costa Rica to build processes of autonomy and defend human rights, as part of the promotion of a culture of peace.

Red Ambiental Loretana, Iquitos, Peru: $15,000 in February 2013 and $15,000 in December 2013 (total $30,000) for efforts to educate civil society in Peru about threats to the ecosystem and how these threats affect communities, and for educational programs in leadership, values and community empowerment with rural indigenous youth in the Loreto area.

Servicio Paz y Justicia en México-Morelos y Colectivo Gandhiano “Pensar en voz alta” (Think Out Loud Gandhian Collective), Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico: $15,000 in April 2013 for peace education and promotion of human rights; research and dissemination of information about social conflict and militarization in Mexico; and support for active nonviolence and civil resistance, including participation and collaboration with the National Movement for Peace with Justice and Dignity (Movimiento Nacional por la Paz con Justicia y Dignidad).
