NOVA Travel Fund Grant Roster
The Muste Institute’s NOVA Travel Fund helps grassroots
activists from Latin American, Caribbean and indigenous North American
organizations to participate in regional meetings. The deadlines are
every two months, on the first day of February, April, June, August,
October and December. Guidelines are in Spanish at http://ajmuste.org/novaintro.html .
In five cycles between March and December 2007, the NOVA
Travel Fund made the following grants:

In August, for Exequiel Estay Tapia and Romana Juárez, grassroots
leaders of a self-organized group of recycling collectors, to participate
in the First Forum and International Congress on Recycling Policy in
Urban Areas held Sept. 27-29 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In December,
for recycling collectors Marisol Huerta Rivera and Luis Humberto Flores
Campos to participate in the First World Congress of Waste Recyclers
